While each song of the two had been published individually previously, this edition was the first to bring them together, along with 'La Lune blanche' as Drei Lieder. Dichtungen von P. Verlaine, with French and German words, the latter provided by G. Tischer. This edition transferred to Oxford University Press in 1930, and included in A Book of Songs, French words only, in 1969. This edition, with small corrections, forms the basis of the Collected Edition (the songs are included in vol. 19 (London: Oxford University Press, 1987).
